The Daily Beast has recently reported as-of-yet unconfirmed rumors that Kate Middleton and Prince William might announce their engagement as soon as June.
To be clear – Kate Middleton and Prince William have NOT announced an engagement. However, an engagement would not be unexpected considering Kate Middleton and Prince William are together for 7 years.

Catherine Elizabeth Middleton, or Kate Middleton, and Prince William met at the University of St. Andrews.
They began their courtship in 2001 and, besides a short breakup in 2007, have been together ever since. After founding their own mail-order company with a short term installment loansand becoming millionaires, Kate Middleton's parents were married in 1980.

Several times over the years of her relationship with Prince William, Kate Middleton has complained of harassment by media.
Kate Middleton was given special 24 hour security detail in February of 2006. This move created numerous rumors of an engagement but it never happened. Kate Middleton has accompanied Prince William to a few royal events also.
An engagement between Prince William and Kate Middleton?
The Daily Beast reported today that “high-level officials” had indicated that Kate and William may be announcing their engagement on June 3 or 4. The royal calendar has been pointed out to have been blocked those two days to support the rumor. This June engagement would indicate a November wedding after the difficult election and before Prince William would become an operational pilot for the Royal Air Force. A November wedding however, as pointed out by the Daily Mail, would interfere with his search and rescue pilot training. Whether or not an engagement is announced between the two, they’re certain to be getting a lot of attention from the press again.
