The Dell Streak has been whispered about in I.T. departments for months now. When the Dell Streak 7 and 10 inch versions were leaked, credit counseling offices and I.T. departments exploded with joy.
Lineup of Dell Streak
For months now, pictures and info about the Dell Streak are carefully released. In fact, on March 9, Dell did release a specifications sheet for the Mini 5 – the five-inch Dell Streak. Because no ship date or price was accessible, this flier was just a teaser. This morning there was confirmation that the Dell Streak lineup will even include 7 and 10 inch versions.
Dell Streak integrated features
The line of Dell Streak computers are true multipurpose tablet computers. With a built-in SIM card and dialer, the Streak 5 will even function as a phone. Dell Streak devices will also be packaged with a content partnership. Packaged in multiple colors, the Dell Streak will have a reader app, MP3 player, and video streaming. A touch display will control the VGA camera, video chat, 30-pin docking connector, and 5 megapixel camera.
Operating system of the Dell Streak
The OS for Dell Streak has not been released, but it will most likely be Windows-based. That means that everyone who is or would like to hire dedicated programmers can create applications and programs to run on the Dell Streak.
When will the Dell Streak ship?
There is details we do not yet have about the Dell Streak. There is no price on any of the devices yet, and ship dates for the Dell Streak 7 and 10 inch devices are still not available. Some may have gotten a cash advance in anticipation of the Dell Slate, but most of us could have to wait until the end of the year. If you are really jonesing for new tech, the Dell Streak 5 could be released in “late 2010″. Dell Streak 7 and Dell Streak 10 should be accessible within the first few months of 2011. WePad, iPad and iPhone watch out!
