Next year, the Ford Ranger will cease getting produced

After 2011, no new Ford Rangers could be produced within the United States There has barely been a major change made to the Ranger in a long time. The Ranger did not get much of a change in any way, because there was no have to change the best selling light pickup. That said, the Ranger has had its day. After 2011, it probably will not be made anymore. Ford will try to steer consumers toward the Ecoboost F150 with a V6.

The Ranger has had its prime

Throughout North The United States, the Ranger was the best selling light pickup for practically all of the 1990s. There was a reason for that. It was anything an individual could want in a truck. It was priced thousands lower than a full size. It also got pretty decent gas mileage. It was known for reliability. The Ranger was also equal to any task on or off road. That said, the market share went down following awhile. Nissan, Toyota Motors, and other businesses figured out that some individuals wanted crew cab seating in a light truck. In 1999, according to Wikipedia, Ford sold more than 348,000 Rangers. Sales were only 55,000 only 10 years later.

The Ranger will stop to be

Ford had to come up with something else, or redesign the Ranger. Ford decided to come up with something else. There is a new Ranger like truck, according to USA Today, that could be sold overseas, however not in America. Ford is pushing the new F150 instead. The new model will contain an Ecoboost V-6, which will get better mileage than the stock V-8. It seems a slightly dubious move. The F150 costs thousands more than the Ranger, and the Ecoboost V-6 has an extra premium attached to it as well. Ford has kind of been ignoring the Ranger in the last few years. The majority of the sales were from fleet sales.

Ranger facility is done as well

In addition to closing the book in the U.S. on a formerly very well-liked truck, Ford is also shutting down the facility that made it. The truck is in the firing line, and the facility goes with it. Ford will shutter the Ford plant in St. Paul, Minn. Ford attempted to revive the model with a crew cab but found it sold better under a different name. That model is nevertheless being sold. It’s called the Explorer Sport Trac.
