A VHS tape of a 23-year-old Chelsea Handler has surfaced, and Radar Online claims it is a sex tape. What begins as an early example of a Chelsea Handler standup routine easily changes into an X-rated hookup between Handler and a male partner with a British accent. In what seems like a flash, the recording easily cuts back to the standup routine. Chelsea Handler said on her E! Network program “Chelsea Lately” that Radar Online’s sex tape claim was bogus because she’d only made the tape to make a big impact when auditioning for a job at a Los Angeles comedy club during the days when she frequently was in need of a loan. “I would like to say to Radar Online: A) thanks for ruining my surprise Christmas gift to my st! aff, and number two, it was made as a joke. I put it on an audition tape for a comedy club because I’m a comedian,” said Handler.

The stories are in turns funny and outrageous, and almost never family fare. It doesn’t take much figuring to see the Chelsea Handler sex tape could very easily be her way of making a large first impression in her job search at that time.

However, the editing of the tape has caused blogs like The Hollywood Gossip to question whether Chelsea Handler really intended that the sex be used as part of a club audition. It is a wonder the gossip rags have not made the connection between the British man within the video and the British boyfriend Handler writes about in her books. Chelsea cared about this boyfriend, but he ended up betraying her. Now that Chelsea Handler is a large name in comedy, is this former duplicitous lover back for a payoff, or does he want to knock her down to size?
If he has returned, then “British Bob” has bitten off a lot more than he can chew.
