Following 2 years of living together, a royal engagement declared

Officially announced today, there’s a royal wedding. Kate Middleton and Prince William agreed to marry last month. The formal announcement was made at Clarence House. Charles, the Prince of Wales, made the statement this morning. The couple is planning on a London wedding. The wedding is being planned for spring or summer of 2011.

The relationship among Prince William and Kate Middleton has gone on for quite some time. For eight years they have been together. In 2007, the couple did separate for a few months. Every person has still been waiting for the engagement announcement though. Permission of Kate Middleton's father was asked for. Prince William found this necessary. They officially got engaged last month. They were on getaway in Kenya when the proposal came from Prince William.

The second in line to the British throne now has a royal engagement. Controversy and speculation have come up over this. Kate Middleton is a commoner just like Prince William's mother Diana was. Kate Middleton is far from middle-class, however. Her parents worked by founding a mail-order company. This made them millions leading her to go to the University of St. Andrews where she met Prince William. Kate Middleton has encountered some criticism because, unlike most British women, she doesn’t hold anything resembling a steady job.

While announcing their engagement, Kate Middleton and Prince William said that they plan to wed “next spring or summer.”. There has been lots of talk about wedding thinking about the couple has lived together for a few years. Reports are that there have been disagreements within the royal house over many details of the wedding, including when and how it would be announced. For June, Bookies in Britain said the wedding announcement would take place. Somebody out there is likely making cash off of that one. The couple has decided where to live after getting married. Wales will be their home.
