Wheel of Fortune 1 letter puzzle solution goes viral

Completing a "Wheel of Fortune" puzzle with 1 letter uncovered and no others might seem like an extremely hard task. Only blind luck or an inside job could make such an impossible prospect possible. But as 26-year-old contestant Caitlin Burke just lately demonstrated to Pat Sajak, Vanna White and the rest of the world, if one has a "good feeling" over it, the impossible can become possible.

Watching the ‘Wheel of Fortune’ one letter answer take place

The look on Pat Sajak’s face after Burke pulled the answer to the 27-letter puzzle seemingly out of thin air is priceless. Burke beat the odds on the "Wheel of Fortune" game show better than any contestant since 1975 when the show first begun. The solution to the "Wheel of Fortune" puzzle with one letter showing was "I’ve got a good feeling about this.".

The letter "L" had been present on the board. No other letters were present though. "R" had been eliminated for choices though.

Caitlin Burke’s amazing play has some conspiracy theorists out there thinking the fix had been in, accounts Access Hollywood. There isn't any evidence that would support this though.

50 percent educated guess, one half good luck

Burke ended up with an interview on the Columbia Broadcasting System "Early Show." Here she described where the "Wheel of Fortune" one letter solution came from. She knew the first word was a contraction that started with one letter, which had to be an "I.". On the "Early Show," Burke explained that the amount of letters missing didn't bother her. Through "years of practice and watching," Burke was able for making a guess that was 50 percent educated, 50 percent good luck. Her success gained her a Caribbean escape, valued at around $6,500. In total, she won $53,618 in cash and prizes during her run as champion.

Spinning for additional cash is what Burke did not do

Caitlin Burke was simply playing it safe as the conclusion that most individuals got when trying to determine the reason why she quit. She already got the "bankrupt" part in the episode which probably contributed although she can do puzzles well. Rather than trying to spin again, she simply got the "L" and then guessed.
